"The Biltmore Party"
In the early 80s to early 90s the Biltmore Ballroom was a main event among members of the Caribbean diaspora within the Brooklyn community. Its prominence rose as lovers of reggae sounds gathered and celebrated from all across New York City and beyond. There were other ballrooms just the Biltmore that carried the Jamaican tradition of a sound clash which is made up of two DJ engineers showing off their own unique reggae sound. This piece of art honors the Covered & Cultured sound clash to commemorate the Biltmore Ballroom, and the lovers of Caribbean music.
